Set against the haunting beauty of Albuquerque's Bosque, the La Llorona Run combines fitness, fun, and folklore as participants journey through the cottonwood-lined trails inspired by the legendary tale of La Llorona.
Choose from the 10K, 5K Run/Walk, Kids K, or the NEW La Llorona Twilight 5K. As daylight fades and shadows stretch across the Bosque, Twilight 5K participants will experience an unforgettable run at dusk—just when the legend comes alive.
Whether you're chasing a personal record, enjoying a walk with friends and family, or daring to take on the La Llorona Double Dare Challenge, you'll enjoy a memorable event featuring scenic Bosque trails, great race swag, finisher medals, age-group awards, and a festive post-race atmosphere.

La Llorona, or "The Weeping Woman," is a legendary ghost in Hispanic American and New Mexico folklore. As per tradition, La Llorona is the ghost of a woman who cries by the river and ditch banks while searching for her lost children. Don't be surprised if you spot La Llorona during the run! All participants will receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.
