RunFit has a been a great addition to Inez Elementary. We have more and more kids sign up each time. The kids learn the fun of running and how to take a large goal and break it down into smaller successive steps. The goal of running a first 5k is contagious also! We have staff and family members inspired by their student and join the fun. The kids learn about healthy snacks they have never tried before and learn to think about the food they eat as fuel for their body. RunFit has provided a source of pride and accomplishment for students for themselves and in the eyes of their classmates. RunFit has reminded the entire school community of the fun of physical activity and the pride of setting and accomplishing personal goals! Inez Elementary loves RunFit! The RunFit program has been great for our school! RunFit is super for building student's self-esteem. RunFit is a community builder - it involves parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and faculty. I love the RunFit program it helps me promote and teach fitness for a lifetime. RunFit has been such an amazing experience for the Zuni community. Our students are developing lifelong healthy habits, parents are volunteering to support the program, and teachers are challenging each other to run in the RunFit races. Truly, RunFit has supported the development of a true community of runners from age 5 to 45! |
